One team for the repairs after a flood
Flooding can damage several parts of your home at once. We bring together the removal of damaged materials, drying and the repairs needed to make your rooms usable again.
Tell us your postcode, where the water came from and which rooms are affected. Let us know whether the property is safe to enter and if an insurer or other contractor is already involved.
Our local areas include Rossendale and Rawtenstall, Bolton, Greater Manchester and Lancashire.
REAL PROJECT EVIDENCE
From water damage to a finished Manchester living room
A leak ran down the walls and flooded the floor. The job required drying and reinstatement. This was flooding from a leak inside the property; external floodwater can require additional safety and contamination work.

Safety and contamination come first
Follow the emergency services’ advice about returning to the property. GOV.UK warns that floodwater can contain sewage and hide hazards, and advises having affected utilities checked before they are turned back on. Necessary safety checks and any specialist contamination work must be resolved before the related building work proceeds.
Photograph the damage only from safe positions and contact the insurer before disposing of affected items. Explain any known contamination when you enquire, so the repair requirements are considered from the start.
The repair, step by step
- Assess: understand the damage and any safety or specialist work needed.
- Remove: take out the damaged materials agreed in your quotation.
- Dry: prepare the affected building materials for repairs.
- Rebuild: repair walls, ceilings, floors, fittings and finishes.
We explain what is included, what can stay and which decisions need your approval. Any separately required specialist work is identified before the building work that depends on it.
Put your rooms back together
We can repair plasterboard and plaster, flooring, joinery, kitchens and bathrooms, then complete the decoration. We agree the materials and finish with you before work starts.
If matching materials are unavailable, we discuss the options. Any further damage found when opening up is recorded so the extra work can be agreed.
How long will the repairs take?
Drying time depends on the building materials and how far the water has spread. Our drying service is planned alongside the repairs so new finishes are fitted when the affected areas are ready.
Access, approvals and material availability also affect timing. Read what affects the repair timetable.
If your insurer is involved
Send any inspection findings, approved repair schedule and specification. If you want upgrades or changes to help with future flooding, agree the design and funding with your insurer or adviser first.
Homeowners can use the damage-report form. Property managers and loss adjusters can use professional enquiries.
Your questions answered
Do you provide drying as well as building repairs?
Yes. Premier provides full drying solutions, strip-out and reinstatement. The required stages are set out for your property, including any separate safety or contamination requirements.
Can you quote after another company has stripped the property?
Yes. Send the available scope, findings and photographs showing what remains. We can assess the drying and reinstatement still required.
When can rebuilding start?
The relevant area must be ready for the proposed work, with source, safety, preparation and drying requirements addressed. The programme should identify those dependencies rather than rely on a standard number of days.
