Help putting your home right after an insurance claim
Premier Reinstatements delivers the full progression of property repairs after water, flood and storm damage. We investigate leaks, address the source, strip out affected materials where needed, provide drying solutions and reinstate the building. You can instruct the full programme or the stage your property has reached.
We work with homeowners, landlords, property managers and other professional clients across Lancashire and Greater Manchester. Director Graham Leach brings over 28 years of personal trade experience to the work. His experience predates the incorporation of Premier Reinstatements (UK) Ltd.
REAL PROJECT EVIDENCE
From water damage to a finished Manchester living room
A leak ran down the walls and flooded the floor. The job required drying and reinstatement.

What goes into the repair scope
The scope brings the required stages together and identifies the work in each affected room:
- Investigation and trace and access where the leak is concealed.
- Source repairs and strip-out of damaged materials within the agreed instruction.
- Structural drying before the relevant building elements are closed up or finished.
- Plasterboard, plastering, flooring, joinery and the reinstatement of affected kitchens or bathrooms.
- Preparation, tiling, decoration and the completion of the specified finishes.
We separate the damage-related repair from any upgrades you want to make. Material choices, matching existing finishes, access and the boundaries of each room’s work are decisions to settle before ordering and installation.
Where your insurer fits into the process
Send any repair schedule, loss-adjuster findings or request for quotations with your enquiry. We can price the proposed work and explain the stages involved. Your insurer decides cover, the excess and settlement; the person instructing Premier agrees the repair contract and payment arrangements.
The Financial Ombudsman Service explains that claims can be settled through repair, replacement or cash, depending on the policy and circumstances. If you want to use your own contractor, clarify the insurer’s requirements before authorising non-emergency work. Read our guides to contractor choice and cash settlements.
Keep the building work moving in the right order
The source needs to be controlled before its damage is permanently covered. Strip-out and drying are planned around the condition of the materials; reinstatement follows when the affected areas are ready for the proposed work. If another contractor has already completed a stage, we use the available findings to plan the work that remains.
Concealed damage can change a repair. Where opening up reveals an additional problem, the finding and proposed change need to be recorded and approved. Agree who has authority to make that decision so the project does not stall between the occupier, owner and insurer.
Occupied homes and professional instructions
Tell us which rooms need to remain usable, who holds the keys and whether working hours or communal access are restricted. For managed properties, provide the site contact and reporting requirements alongside the scope. Approved organisations can use the client portal for jobs, quotations and updates.
The repair cost and programme depend on the extent of damage, access, drying, finishes and approvals. We explain these dependencies against your property rather than give every claim the same price or completion period.
Your questions answered
Can you take over after another contractor has repaired the leak?
Yes. Send their findings and explain the remaining damage. We can provide the drying, strip-out or reinstatement still required, with the new instruction clearly defined.
Does a quotation mean my insurer has approved the work?
No. A quotation describes the proposed repair. Confirm the insurer’s approval where required, and agree the contract and payment arrangements before work begins.
How do I get started?
Send the postcode, damage description, safe photographs and any existing scope through the damage-report form. Organisations can use professional enquiries to set out their instruction.
