Drying and repairs, planned together
We provide drying after leaks and flooding, alongside any removal of damaged materials and building repairs needed. You can ask for drying on its own or the complete repair.
Tell us whether the leak has stopped, which rooms are wet and what has already been removed. We will explain the next stage for your property.
REAL PROJECT EVIDENCE
From a tank leak to a rebuilt Failsworth bathroom
Premier dried the room, removed the leaking tank and cupboard, then installed the upgraded bathroom.

Dry the building, including the areas you cannot see
Moisture can remain beneath a floor or behind a wall even when the surface feels dry. Structural drying deals with the affected building materials before new finishes go on.
We plan drying around the materials, the spread of water and access to the affected areas. Progress and readiness for repairs are reviewed as part of that plan.
What happens first?
- Check the source: is the leak fixed or does it need investigation?
- Check the damage: which rooms and materials are affected?
- Agree what to remove: keep what can safely remain.
- Plan the drying: agree access and how progress will be checked.
- Prepare for repairs: confirm the next work for the affected areas.
Any specialist contamination, electrical or structural concerns need the appropriate assessment before related work starts.
Can you stay in the property?
Tell us who lives there, which rooms need to stay usable and about any access restrictions or pets. We can discuss practical arrangements for the drying work.
For rented or managed properties, let us know who can arrange access and approve changes. Share any insurer requirements for reports or handover information.
How long will drying take?
Every property is different. The amount of water, building materials and access to wet areas affect the time needed. We explain what the drying plan depends on rather than promise the same number of days for every job.
New finishes need to wait until the affected materials are ready. We discuss progress and the next step with you.
We can finish the repairs too
Once the affected areas are ready, we can repair plasterboard, plaster, flooring and joinery, reinstate kitchens or bathrooms, and decorate.
Using another contractor for the repairs? Tell us what information they need. Our drying-before-decoration guide explains what to check before new finishes go on.
Already dried by another company? See repairs after drying and send any drying records with your enquiry.
Your questions answered
Can you provide drying without the final building repairs?
Yes. You can use us for drying alone or for the repairs afterwards as well. We will agree the work included and any information needed by the next contractor.
Does every water-damaged room need stripping out?
No. The condition and construction determine which materials can remain and which need removal. Drying and strip-out should be planned together, not treated as automatic whole-room replacement.
How do I request an assessment?
Send the postcode, source information, affected areas and safe photographs through the damage-report form. Include earlier findings and any insurer-approved scope. For an organisation-led instruction, use professional enquiries.
