Bathroom fitting and refurbishment for everyday homes

You can come to Premier for a planned bathroom upgrade, a practical replacement or repairs to an existing room. You do not need an insurance claim or water damage to use this service.

We discuss how you use the bathroom, the fittings you want to keep and the changes that matter most. A new bath or shower may fit the existing layout; moving a toilet, basin or shower needs a closer look at drainage, water supplies and the space available.

  • Removal of the existing bathroom and preparation for replacement fittings.
  • Baths, basins, toilets, vanity units and shower installations.
  • Wall and floor preparation, tiling and agreed finishing work.
  • Shower-area waterproofing and wet-room preparation where suitable for the property.
  • Plumbing alterations and making good as part of the agreed refurbishment.

Tell us if you want a separate shower, more storage or a different layout. We check what the room can accommodate before the scope and products are agreed.

In Worsley, two leaks led to a complete bathroom replacement. Premier reinforced the shower floor and prepared a tanked wet-room area; the homeowner also chose upgrades. The finished bath and vanity photographs show the standard of the completed room.

Graham’s Failsworth bathroom project shows a different layout: removal of a former tank cupboard created space for a replacement bathroom with a separate shower. The story includes preparation photographs and a short finished-room walkthrough.

From first photographs to an agreed job

  1. Show us the room. Send your postcode, wide photographs and a description of what you want changed. Include any product choices or rough measurements you already have.
  2. Agree the layout and scope. We discuss the installation, access, the condition of the floor and walls, and whether a site visit is needed. Product supply and any work by other trades should be clear before you order.
  3. Prepare, fit and finish. The agreed work is sequenced around removal, first-fix plumbing, preparation, installation and finishing. We discuss use of the room and any disruption before starting.

What affects your quotation?

The quotation depends on the size and condition of the room, how much of the layout changes, the fittings and tiles selected, and what needs to happen behind the finished surfaces. Moving drainage, repairing a damaged floor or preparing uneven walls can change the work substantially.

Tell us whether you are supplying the bathroom suite and tiles. Include product links if you have them, and say whether waste removal, decoration, flooring or electrical work needs to be included in the discussion. Any additional work revealed after opening up is discussed before proceeding.

Local work, with the right scope

Start with your postcode. We prioritise Rossendale and Rawtenstall, including enquiries from Haslingden and Bacup, alongside work across Lancashire and Greater Manchester.

We consider the location, size of the job and access before confirming availability. For a project elsewhere in the North West, send the details so we can confirm whether it is a suitable fit. Our Rawtenstall registered office is for postal correspondence, not a showroom or walk-in trade counter.

Common questions about bathrooms

Can I arrange a bathroom refurbishment without an insurance claim?

Yes. Planned bathroom replacements, improvements and ordinary repairs are welcome. Tell us what you want to achieve and we will discuss the work on its own merits.

Can you fit a bathroom suite I have chosen?

Send the product details before ordering where possible. We can discuss fitting customer-supplied products and check dimensions, connections and what is included. The quotation should make responsibility for supply and installation clear.

Can I change the layout or replace a bath with a shower?

We can assess the proposed change. Drainage positions, available floor depth, water supplies, room dimensions and the condition of the structure affect what is practical.

How long will I be without the bathroom?

That depends on the extent of the work and the preparation, waterproofing, tiling and finishing required. We discuss the sequence and likely disruption when agreeing the job; photographs alone cannot establish a reliable completion date.

What if there is hidden damage under the old bathroom?

The visible condition is assessed when quoting, but some problems only become clear after removal. We explain what has been found and agree any change to the work before proceeding.
