Plumbing repairs and installations for everyday homes

We welcome plumbing enquiries for ordinary household repairs and planned installations. You do not need to be arranging an insurance reinstatement or a complete bathroom replacement.

Start with the fitting that needs attention and what you have noticed. A photograph of the item and the accessible pipework helps us understand the job. If you are replacing it, send the proposed product details so connections and space can be considered before you buy.

  • Leaking taps, accessible pipework and plumbing connections.
  • Toilet, basin, sink and tap repairs or replacement.
  • Shower and bath plumbing as part of repairs or an installation.
  • Plumbing alterations for a bathroom or kitchen refurbishment.
  • Making good and related room repairs where included in the agreed scope.

If the source of a hidden leak is unclear, our leak detection and trace-and-access pages explain the investigation stage. Repairing a known fitting and investigating a concealed leak are different pieces of work, and we will discuss which you need.

Plumbing within a documented bathroom project

The Failsworth bathroom story shows a room transformed after a leaking tank was removed. Graham’s project photographs include the completed basin, toilet, bath and separate shower. The room includes new fittings and a revised layout.

For a simple repair, start with the individual fitting. If the leak has also damaged walls or ceilings, we can discuss the related building repairs once the plumbing problem has been addressed.

From first photographs to an agreed job

  1. Describe the fitting or fault. Send the postcode, photographs and a short account of what is happening. Include a make or model if visible and say whether the water is still leaking.
  2. Agree the visit and likely scope. We discuss access, parts and any investigation required. Availability and attendance are confirmed with you; sending an enquiry does not book an emergency visit.
  3. Repair or install, then check. The agreed work includes checking the repaired or replaced installation. Any opening-up, additional parts or surrounding repairs are discussed as part of the scope.

What affects your quotation?

The quotation depends on the fitting or fault, access to the pipework, parts required and the amount of investigation. Replacing a tap with accessible connections differs from reaching pipework concealed behind tiles or beneath a floor.

Tell us if there is a managing agent, restricted access or a shared water supply. For an installation, include the product details and whether the existing fitting is being replaced in the same position. We discuss any associated plastering, tiling or decoration so the plumbing price is not mistaken for a complete room refurbishment.

Local work, with the right scope

Start with your postcode. We prioritise Rossendale and Rawtenstall, including enquiries from Haslingden and Bacup, alongside work across Lancashire and Greater Manchester.

We consider the location, size of the job and access before confirming availability. For a project elsewhere in the North West, send the details so we can confirm whether it is a suitable fit. Our Rawtenstall registered office is for postal correspondence, not a showroom or walk-in trade counter.

Common questions about plumbing

Do you take small plumbing repair enquiries?

Yes. You can contact us about an individual tap, toilet, shower, sink or accessible plumbing fault. Give us the location and details so we can discuss the job and availability.

Can you fit a tap, sink or shower that I supply?

Send the product information and a photograph of the existing installation before ordering where possible. We can discuss suitability, installation requirements and who is responsible for any additional parts.

Can you attend an active leak urgently?

Call 0330 633 0025 to discuss urgent help and current availability. Keep clear of water near electrical equipment or unstable ceilings. An online message is not confirmation of immediate attendance.

Is boiler or gas work included in this service?

This page covers water fittings, pipework and bathroom or kitchen plumbing. Tell us if gas appliances, a boiler or electrical work are involved so the appropriate specialist arrangements can be clarified separately.

Can you repair the wall or ceiling after fixing the leak?

We can discuss the plumbing and the resulting building repairs together. The cause, any required drying and the repair scope need to be established before new finishes are applied.
