A complete response to an internal water leak
Escape of water is the term commonly used for leaks from pipework, appliances and internal water systems. A burst pipe or leaking bathroom can damage the room around it and spaces below. Premier deals with the investigation and source repair through to strip-out, drying and reinstatement.
We work in Lancashire and Greater Manchester for owners, landlords and professional clients. Whether the water is still escaping or the plumbing has already been repaired, tell us what has happened and which rooms remain affected.
REAL PROJECT EVIDENCE
From a tank leak to a rebuilt Failsworth bathroom
Premier dried the room, removed the leaking tank and cupboard, then installed the upgraded bathroom.

If water is still escaping
Keep clear of water near electrical equipment, loose materials and sagging ceilings. If the stopcock is safely accessible, isolate the supply. Do not enter an unsafe space or operate wet electrical switches. Where there is immediate danger, use the emergency services.
Contact your insurer, landlord or managing agent as appropriate. Keep receipts for necessary temporary work and record the damage where safe. For attendance, call 0330 633 0025 to discuss the situation and availability; a website message does not confirm an urgent visit.
The service follows the problem through
- Locate: investigate the leak using the symptoms, accessible evidence and earlier findings.
- Access and repair: agree any opening-up and the work needed to address the source.
- Remove and dry: carry out the required strip-out and drying.
- Reinstate: repair the affected building elements and complete the agreed finishes.
Premier provides this full progression. The stages included in your quotation depend on the property and any work already completed; a repaired leak does not require a fresh investigation simply because reinstatement is still needed.
Bathroom, kitchen and appliance leaks
A failed connection can affect a fitted unit, the floor beneath it and a ceiling below. We look at the remaining building work alongside the source repair, including access openings and the condition of materials that may be concealed.
The repair scope can include plasterboard, plastering, joinery, flooring, tiling, kitchen or bathroom reinstatement and decoration. Retained fittings, replacements and requested layout changes are distinguished before the work is priced. Safe photographs and the previous plumber’s findings help establish the starting point.
Leaks involving another flat or a managed building
Identify who can arrange access to the suspected source as well as the damaged room. Communal services and neighbouring flats can require a separate authorised contact. This is particularly important where the person reporting the damage cannot instruct work elsewhere.
Letting agents and property managers can send the instruction through professional enquiries. Our landlord’s guide explains the information to bring together.
Evidence, approval and the repair programme
Keep a simple timeline of when the leak appeared, who attended, what was found and what was repaired. Share relevant photographs, findings and any insurer-approved schedule with Premier. If particular written information is required, agree that deliverable before attendance.
The insurer determines policy cover; finding the leak, repairing its source and reinstating damage may be treated separately. The programme also depends on access, drying and materials. Our first-steps guide helps you prepare without delaying the immediate safety response.
